  • Acute Bronchitis
  • Bronchiolitis
  • Croup
  • Pneumonia
  • Respiratory Tract Infection
  • Viral Wheeze
Acute Bronchitis

Most patients with acute bronchitis could be managed using the Respiratory Tract Infection Template.

The Acute Bronchitis template is used mainly to help identify the small number of patients who might benefit from antibiotics (based on the NICE guidance).

How to Access:

In the lower left hand corner use the search bar, type in ‘Acute Bronchitis’ and select the following template:

Alternatively, press F12 and search for ‘Acute Bronchitis’, this will return the aforementioned template.

Key history, examination and values should be recorded on the generic RTI template.

The adult and older child template allows rapid calculation of the CURB65 score with guidance below that on management, antibiotic treatment and follow up.

The younger child template is used mainly to provide guidance for diagnosis and management.

Respiratory Tract Infection

How to Access:

In the lower left hand corner use the search bar, type in ‘RTI’ and select the following template:

Alternatively, press F12 and search for ‘RTI’, this will return the aforementioned template.

RTI Template

The Respiratory Tract Infection (RTI) template is designed to facilitate:

  • Accurate and consistent coding
  • Quick data entry
  • Accurate assessment of severity (including screening for sepsis)
