CDRC have created resources to assist with drug monitoring to ensure the correct tests are completed in the right time frames.
You will need to have access to the CDRC Precision Resource Launcher to access and use the following resources. Please click on the link below if you have not already completed this step or used the CDRC Precision Resource Launcher before:
Pop-Up Alert: Monitoring Overdue
Once you have retrieved a patient’s record, during a consultation or not, a pop-up will appear if the patient has overdue tests:
Within the Alerts panel (located in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen), there is an Alert which also highlights that the patient has overdue tests. Double click on this alert to launch the CDRC Precision: Monitoring Template where you will be able to see which monitoring is required depending on the patient’s medication prescribed.
CDRC Precision: Monitoring Template
The CDRC Precision Monitoring Template will tell clinicians which monitoring is required depending on medications prescribed (44 drugs/drug classes in total including DMARDs and High Risk Drugs) at the required monitoring frequency, including DOACs dependent on the most recent creatinine clearance.
The Template is colour coded to make the review as easy as possible.
- Red: Overdue
- Amber: Now due
- Green: Up to date
There is further information on this template that explains why specific monitoring frequency is required.
