CDRC SystmOne resources support the assessment, management and coding of patients presenting with common infections in primary care.
The resources bring together relevant patient information, clinical assessment tools, decision support, antimicrobial prescribing guidance, patient information and safety-netting resources.
They can support clinicians with:

Accessing CDRC resources on SystmOne
To use these resources, your organisation must have access to the CDRC SystmOne resource group.

CDRC Infection Reports
The following reports located in the CDRC Quality > Infections folder, support identifcation of patietns for Antibotic Prescribing, including potential concordance concerns and safety alerts; COVID19 quality improvement and Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C prevelance list.
Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Infections
CDRC provides resources to support the assessment and management of common ear, nose and throat infections.
Acute Otitis Media

Notifiable Diseases
The Notifiable Diseases NOID – CDRC template supports clinicians with identifying and reporting suspected notifiable diseases.

The template displays notifiable diseases, links to relevant public health resources and provides access to the notification process.
Reporting suspected notifiable diseases
Registered medical practitioners must report suspected notifiable diseases. Clinicians should not wait for laboratory confirmation before reporting a suspected case. Urgent cases must also be reported by telephone to the local UKHSA Health Protection Team.
Use the current UKHSA services to:
- Check whether a disease is notifiable
- Identify whether notification is urgent or routine
- Report a suspected case
- Locate the relevant Health Protection Team
Respiratory Tract Infections
CDRC provides resources to support the assessment and management of common respiratory tract infections.

The RTI template supports:
- Accurate and consistent coding
- Rapid recording of clinical information

The RTI template can be used to document key history, examination findings and clinical observations.
The majority of RTIs seen in primary care could be managed using the RTI home tab. This allows you to record key history, examination and numeric readings. There are quick links to allow for:
- more structured recording of history and examination
- Screening for sepsis and serious illness in children
- Recording of patient or parental smoking and smoking cessation advice

Sepsis
The Sepsis Assessment – CDRC template supports the structured assessment of patients where sepsis is suspected.
When launched, the template automatically displays the age-appropriate assessment page. It supports rapid recording of relevant information and assessment of the patient’s risk of sepsis.

Important information
The CDRC Sepsis Assessment template is separate from the system-wide TPP sepsis template. It does not automatically launch in response to clinical codes or free-text entries.
Urinary Tract Infection
CDRC provides SystmOne templates to support the assessment and management of urinary tract infections.
The key aims of the template are:
- To allow accurate recording of the appropriate information for audit and medicolegal purposes
- To provide decision support
- To display relevant information from the patient’s record
- To support appropriate antimicrobial use

UTI Template
Non-Pregnant Women
The top half of the template helps the clinician to confirm the diagnosis and differentiate upper and lower UTIs. Guidance on prescribing and prescribing safety is provided. The most recent eGFR result is displayed along with a note to indicate if the patient has a nitrofurantoin adverse drug reaction.
The bottom half of the template allows the clinician to record more narrative information as well as link to tools to screen for sepsis and to display Previous MSU Results and Antibiotics
Pregnant Women
The top left of the page covers symptomatic suspected UTI and the top right asymptomatic bacteriuria.
