Cumbria PRIMIS Informatics have developed a suite of reports to maximise the uptake of influenza vaccination whilst minimising the burden on general practice. With permissions, Cumbria PRIMIS Informatics have allowed CDRC to share these reports to support practices with their influenza vaccination uptake.

Guidance on the Influenza & RSV Population Reporting Searches
The searches within the Data Quality folder can be used to identify any patients who may have been vaccinated but need to have the “Needs Influenza Immunisation” code added to their record to ensure that the vaccination is picked up by CQRS. There are two searches within the Data Quality folder:

This search will identify patients in the EMIS Recall Searches (based on the green book at risk cohorts) who have been vaccinated but the clinical code is not included in the Enhanced Service business rules. These patients should be coded with the “Needs Influenza Immunisation” code.

This search will pick up any patients who have been vaccinated but they do not have a code included in the EMIS Recall searches or the Enhanced Services business rules. We recommend that these patients should be checked and the reason for the vaccination should be recorded in freetext along with the “Needs Influenza Immunisation” code.
The Data Quality searches should be run during the first 5 days of the month so that any coding can be added prior to the GPES extract taking place. To run the searches for the required month, please run at a relative run date of the 1st of the following month (e.g. to extract data for September 2024, the searches should be run with a relative run date of 1st October 2024).
