CDRC has developed a suite of EMIS reports to support practices participating in the North East and North Cumbria (NENC) GLP-1 NHS Obesity Programme / Tirzepatide Local Enhanced Service (LES) 2025/26.
These reports have been designed to help practices identify patients who may be eligible for payment under the LES, validate activity recorded within the clinical record, and ensure claims are submitted accurately and consistently.
The reports are aligned to the staged payment structure within the LES and can help practices monitor patient progression through the pathway, from initiation through to programme completion or offboarding.
Inclusion within a report does not automatically guarantee payment. Practices remain responsible for ensuring that all local commissioning requirements have been met and that claims are submitted in accordance with NENC guidance.
Accessing the Reports:
Access to CDRC EMIS Population Reports is currently managed directly through the CDRC team to ensure practices receive the most up-to-date reports, guidance, and support.
To request access, please email contact-cdrc@healthinnovationnenc.org.uk and a member of the CDRC team will provide the relevant reports and any associated implementation or technical support.
This is a temporary arrangement while we develop an enhanced EMIS support service that will provide improved access to resources, regular updates, and ongoing support for participating practices.
Reports Information:
The following reports apply to patients who started Tirzepatide for weight loss under the NENC LES in 25/26. Practices are eligible to claim for these patients for up to 12 months after they started treatment. This does not apply to patients started on Tirzepatide in the current financial year
Closing date for submission is the end of the month. The claim form is available on GP TeamNet
- Stage 1: Patient initiation payment
- Stage 2: First six monthly monitoring complete (or discontinued before 6th review)
- Stage 3: All monitoring completed (or discontinued before 12th review)
- Stage 4: Discontinuation/Offboarding payment
Recommended Usage
CDRC recommends practices run the relevant reports prior to each LES submission period.
A suggested process is:
- Run the reports monthly.
- Review patients identified within each payment stage.
- Validate coding and review documentation.
- Correct any data quality issues.
- Submit claims in line with local deadlines.
- Retain report outputs as supporting evidence where required.
Using the reports routinely throughout the year can help reduce end-of-quarter workload and minimise the risk of missed claims.
Data Quality Considerations
Payment validation is dependent on accurate coding within the clinical record.
Before submitting a claim, practices should ensure:
- Tirzepatide initiation has been correctly recorded.
- Required reviews have been completed and coded.
- Treatment discontinuation has been coded where applicable.
- Offboarding activity has been recorded.
- Weight management pathway activity aligns with local LES requirements.
Where expected patients are missing from a report, practices should review the patient’s record for any incomplete or missing coding.
